340B HEALTH BOARD ELECTS TWO NEW MEMBERS

WASHINGTON, D.C.— The 340B Health Board of Directors has elected two new members representing hospitals and health systems participating in the 340B drug pricing program.

Roben Casey is the chief legal officer for East Alabama Health, based in Opelika, Ala. She plays a pivotal role in the health system’s operations and strategy, with responsibilities that include legal affairs, risk management, medical staff affairs, and regulatory affairs. She also serves as the organization’s HIPAA privacy officer and corporate compliance officer. For nearly 20 years, she has held various management and administrative positions within East Alabama Health, during which it has grown from a single hospital to a comprehensive, regional health system serving 11 counties and employing nearly 4,000 team members. She has a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from Auburn University, an MBA from Troy State University, and a J.D. from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law.

Marjorie Lazarre is the associate chief pharmacy officer and executive director of pharmaceutical business innovation at Yale-New Haven Health System, based in New Haven, Conn. She is responsible for advancing the health system’s strategic objectives with a focus on all aspects of pharmaceutical procurement, expense, and revenue cycle as well as the system’s 340B program. She also oversees all associated compliance measures as well as the system’s specialty and retail pharmacy business lines. For nearly 20 years, she has served in various leadership roles within pharmacy at both Yale-New Haven Health and Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore. She has an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Howard University, and she completed her pharmacy practice residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
